An alternate employment system
Generally most of the companies pay an amount equivalent to or more than the candidate’s salary to the consultants for their referral. Instead what the companies can do is, after an initial screening, sign a one month contract with the candidate and make him/ her work while being with him/ her and evaluate his/ her performance on a daily basis. If, at the end of the month, that is more than the average performance, then the company may retain the candidate or otherwise let him/ her go while paying them the minimal salary. In this way, you get a month’s time to judge a candidate’s potential instead of waiting for 6 months or a year to prove his/ her inability to perform.
