Slow down to be focused

Life is not ‘now’; it is not ‘today’, neither is it ‘tomorrow’ or ‘yesterday’. It is the total time period from our birth till death that should be considered. Our lifespan will neither increase nor decrease irrespective of how fast we move forward. Voluntary exits from life is not accepted by time and it is really a very few who can determine when to quit. To make a difference in the long run, all our short-term objectives should be directly or indirectly contributing to the final outcome. The correct speed at which we are both comfortable and steady should be maintained to be on time at our preferred destination provided we choose the best route for us to reach there. On the other hand, unable to define any long-term objectives may divert us in the wrong direction irrespective of our performance.

“Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast – you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.”

– Eddie Cantor
